'09 Fit Sport dash question

I'm getting ready to buy a new '09 Fit. I d/l-ed a manual for the '09 Fit and was going through it. The manual [of course] shows nothing about my dash-related curiosity, so I'll ask some of you Fit clowns!

To the left of the steering wheel, at the bottom of the dash, on both standard and Sport models, there are three buttons/switches. On the Sport model the extreme left button in the triple grouping is the Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) off switch. The other two are blanks with no buttons/switches.

Anyone know either what they're for, or what they may be used for in the future?

Very curious about those darned vacant buttons.

Going nuts for that brand new '09 Fit!

One breakout can be used for the OEM ambient lighting package's master switch.

i own a '09 MT Honda Fit Sport, there isnt any button located on the left side of the steering wheel.

It may be something on the Fit Sport /navi you'll have to check with the dealer.

as far as i know VSA is optional.

My Fit Sport doesn't use any of the switch blanks as delivered. If you buy the version with Navi, one spot is used to switch off the VSA. If you install the ambient lighting kit, the kit uses another spot for that switch.

I suspect that in other markets these switch points may have other uses.

I have the Fit Sport w/ Nav & VSA, so the left-most switch plate is for the VSA off switch (although I'm not sure why you'd want to turn that off). The other two blanks made a perfect place to install my indoor/outdoor thermometer, so that must be what they're for! lol

I thought one of the switch banks was for the optional James Bond style rocket launcher install switch?

Coin holders w/VSA

Will probably put a switch or something in one of them eventually, and just keep 1 coin holder...

Go around a 90 degree corner, or in my case, a traffic circle, and nail the throttle, if VSA is engaged, the motor acts like it is stalling, as the VSA kicks in to keep you "stabilized". Annoying.

I wished we had that here... I'd gladly give up a coin holder slot for the headlight height adjusters... I see you also have the auto-fold mirrors???

Yeah, it's amazing how every market has it's own little things.... I wished they would just offer every one everything, and just have every customer customize their car as they want... straight from the factory OEM....

Ya FitStir, auto fold mirrors also came standard. Really handy when parking in tight places. As for the headlamp adjusters...iv set the height once and left it. I honestly dont think you guys are missing out on anything. I would gladly swop it for VSA, something unheard of here.

Coin Holders

The coin holders look like a good use of the blank space. I'm having a hard time finding a place that sells them for the 2009 Honda Fit.

For those of you who have them, where did you get yours?

Thanks...
