that really sucks. Hopefully insurance will have no problem paying for it. Looks like you broke a clip but it looks repairable but repairing and replacing is the same price as our bumpers are pretty cheap

People are stupid. I'm sorry man. I'm about to move into an apartment complex, and I better get my own spot, in a corner next to a curb or something, because there's no way in hell I'm parking between 2 cars. I've had my Fit for over a year and never, EVER had to squeeze between cars. How the hell does someone hit your car like that anyway?!

Sorry to hear about your misfortune. I feel your pain and frustration.

Had the same incident with our Yaris RS 4-door hatchback; barely 4 days after delivery...some jackass creamed the LH corner of the rear bumper while parked at a 7-11 corner store.

Gee, you wonder sometimes what people are. Anyway, you should be covered by insurance; get it fixed and she will be good as new.

Gotta live on you know.

It'll buff right out, jk, doesn't look bad, they could probably just sand it and repaint that portion.

Seems to me it'd be way cheaper to fix, rather than replace. Don't the bumpers cost like $350-$400? I would guess you could get that taken care of for under $200.

that sucks...

that will be like $400-450 at a body shop to get it removed from the car, repaired, painted, re-installed.

i suppose you can get it done at those touchup places for like $150, but it will never look as nice as bodyshop work...and you will have to re-position the rear bumper and fix any mounting hardware.

^^^ being that it was in an apartment complex I bet the f*cker lives there or visits there. I'd be scoping out the parking lot for the next couple weeks. See if you can get any pain samples off your bumper from the car that hit you. If you can you will know what color vehicle hit you.... The minute you find the vehicle call the cops.
Oh yea I watch CSI...

hey buddy .. dont mean to sound like a d!ck or anything but that is some funny shit.. because that shit happened to me exactly the way it happened to u!!!! i live in a complex too..... i left it in front of the crib and i come home to it and it was looking EXACTLY like urs ..... and i was frustrated like u were lookin for the ****er who did it and come to find out it was my neibors wife .. and i knew that cause my other neibor saw the whole thing.. so when i confrotted them , that slut denied everything ... but that bumper is a piece of cake to take off urself to take it to a body shop and save urself $$... its only 4 hex bolts and the rest are clip-on clips and its off.. it should cost u like 100-150 to get repainted and worked on.. i dont know what homeboy was thinking about paying 400-500 to get it fixed... but hey brother i got it fixed out of pocket and didnt involve insurance or anything .. to me it wasnt worth the hassle and deductible.... i actually paid my buddy that has his own body shop 80 for the job.. but anyway thats my .02 cents .. good luck brother

Seriously, keep an eye on the other cars there. Watch out for your white paint on their bumper. That really blows man, and I feel your pain. I had my car towed from MY parking spot the day after I moved into the complex I live in now because the manager didn't put my assigned spot into the computer. So when the person that used to use that spot came home, he had my car towed. The tow company dented the passenger side front door in two spots and the PS rear door in one spot with a scratch down the entire length of the car and some rubbed off paint on the rear bumper, also PS. Had AAA take a look at it, said there wasn't anything they could do to prove it was the tow company.

At least you won't need quarter panel work, that part of the damage will buff clean. I think the folks suggesting you go out-of-pocket may be right once you consider deductible, and what if the g.f. has another stroke of bad luck a month later, then it's two claims and surcharge time.

It could have been worse. Good luck fixing it and catching the ****e* who left you hanging.

I would like to thank you guys for your support and info

I think i might know who did it but the dude wont answer my calls or texts but, i'm 90% shore it was him cause he is known for hitting / backing in to cars and left my apt about the time my nabors heard a loud noise and someone taking off fast....

I also talked to the dealership about this and it will be 750$ for a new bumper, paint, labor...

the bumper was only 199$
the labor is were they get ya...

just need to come up with 500$ the insurance will get the rest. I would have just re-painted it but that black mark is my bumper not paint and its right on a curve of the bumper. Sooo it would have this flat spot on one side. I think the F***** scraped it with his license plate and front of his car just by what the markings look like...

Owill shit happens tho but this will be the last time cause i rinted a car port with concreat pillers on ether side of jasman so im thinkn she will be safe

I had a similar incident with my old Civic this year. Some jerk parallel parked into a tight spot behind me. The damage looked identical to OPs. I was able to ID the car bc there was paint powder that attached to my bumper from the other car. I checked the other car's front bumper and it had my silver paint on it. That's when rage overcame me and I dished it out to the offending car.

I'm going to put a clearbra on my rear bumper (as a DIY). The pictures you posted gives me a good idea on how much coverage to put & where. So feel better knowing that this incident will help out at least one fellow Fit owner.
