Vent shades

Hi all,

I am would like to get vent shades for my 09 Fit Sport. I know Honda has them, but I haven't seen them installed. From pictures I really can't see how they are mounted, and from those who have them if any problems,likes/dislikes,ease of installation, wind noise, etc?

I am open to other alternative manufactures, and express your likes, dislikes, and if you installed them, price paid, wind noise, any additional information like best deal, etc would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

I think he means window visors?

You can get Honda optional ones or Mugen.

You can go with:

Weathertech for like $99 on certain websites for all 4 pieces. They mount in the window tract.

AVS - Auto Vent Shade - Around $55 for 4 pieces, they mount with 3m tape.

Mugen - $190ish, 4pieces, not sure how mounted.

JDM - $170is, 4 pieces, not sure how mounted.

I'll probably go with the Weathertech's when I buy visors. I can't justify spending $170-$190 on a set of JDM or Mugen ones that do the same thing as the Weathertech's.

Or USDM for ~$60. They are a combination of clips and 3M tape.

Weathertech doesn't make them for the '09s yet. I bought the Honda OEM ones. They install with clips and tape--a relatively easy (and quick) install. You can see them here:

Don't have pics but I have these on mine. It didn't take long to install but the kit doesn't come with instructions so I got then from the Honda service department.

I have the OEM Honda visors, their benefit is they allow you to leave your windows open slightly for ventilation and narrows the windows appearance wise from the side view.

I have the Honda Fit OEM visors. They were about $60 with shipping. I really like them! I think it enhances the overall look of the car, especially if you own a sport.

Dont have any complaints. It's nice to have the window open a tad bit when it rains.

Honda OEM Window Visors

I just installed the Honda OEM visors on my 2009 Black Base MT. Process was a little finicky with all those clips and pop-studs, but I think the installation is more secure than just sticky tape. Heaven help you if you drop any of the little pieces--I spent more time looking for a clip that dropped and bounced under car than I did with the rest of installation.

I like being able to crack the window a bit even in rainy/snowy weather without my elbow and shoulder getting wet.
