Friday 7/24 Ill be coming home with a 09 MT Sport
Just picked up my Blackberry Pearl MT Fit Sport yesterday! I love this car! Most fun I've had driving and I still cant get over its rich feature set! Blows me and everyone I show out of the water.
You'll love it!
So, any tips for a new owner anyone? Any little tidbits or easter eggs to find?

I was supposed to get mine 7/24, too, and waited 2 years for this moment!! Then my dad got angry earlier today (at my mom) and whenever he gets angry, no one gets what they want. So I'm saying goodbye to the fit for now
I waited so long ]':

wow, sounds like yall need some family counseling.
Yeah, dump the control issue dad and get your own job and financing. You'll feel a lot more empowered. Buy a base Fit if you have to, and just add power locks for like $175.
All the counselling in the world wouldn't have helped my folks. Best thing I did was get out of their sandbox and make my own way.

:hsugh:
1. Slap on a clearbra asap lest you want rock chips on the hood, fender, bumper, and specially the foggies. It's a must for me since I take the turnpike and parkway. The bra already protected my front from a cube of wood, and a tire tread (both were kicked up by vehicles on the next lane).
2. Put on paint protection film too around the fuel hatch if you don't pump your own gas. The gas attendants here in NJ just tries to claw open the hatch with their fingernails.
3. Install a wire-mesh guard in front of the AC condenser. It takes less than half an hr and costs less than $10. Small price to pay for extra insurance against a $700+ repair bill. (search justintime for a step-by-step photo DIY instructions).
4. Weathertechs Digital Liners are expensive compared to Wal-mart mats but offers the best coverage.
5. Don't even bother putting wheel locks on. Save your window from getting smashed. Let thieves take away the OEM rims. Call the cops for a police report & file an insurance claim. Buy aftermarket rims and tires. Pocket the difference. Lol, it's a classic example of a bad incident turning into gold.
6. Buy a locking gas cap for peace of mind. Use a screwdriver to push out the tether.
7. Get sunglasses. The visor does jack squat specially if the sun is shining through the side window.
Here's a list of stuff I wish I knew right away even before taking delivery of my Fit (some of the stuff I already knew before I got the car, some I had to pick up along the way):
