new Fit Sport owner!

hey guys. I figured I'd share my new MT Vortex Blue Pearl Fit Sport. my future plans are get the thing paid off! lol. I'm taking a trip to Nashville next week to visit a friend and clear my head of some personal issues I got going on. but enjoy the pictures! I can't wait till I can autoX this thing!

I'm a bassist, so I needed something that was a good DD and had enough room for all my music stuff.

Congrats on the new Fit, the vortex blue looks great! Any way you can get the dealer decal off the back though? Hate it when dealers do that.

I bought my 2012 Fit about 6 months and still love it. I'm a guitarist so haul the same type of gear you will and it's perfect for a musician!

I gotta say, I'm really loving the car. I just drove it back home from work, and I think I'm kinda falling for it. I never thought I would say that about a wrong wheel drive Honda! I can't wait till the engine breaks in and I can really drive the hell out of it!

I have a background in racing, and I could tell the Fit was going to be some fun, and even more fun after some suspension mods. there's a fair amount of body roll in the car in stock form, but some adjustable shocks can cure that. as far as the music stuff, this car is DEFINITELY the small car to have! I have a big fridge bass cab that I need to haul around, and it's got the space I need for it! all the space I could need while still getting above 30mpg? hell yes!

also, I've heard that the Honda recommended break in procedure is in the owners manual, but I haven't found it. can anyone tell me what page it's on? I want to be sure of what Honda recommends before I really start to thrash it. I plan to keep this car till it dies. it's my first new car I've ever bought, and I'm actually pretty excited about it! I never thought I'd own a Honda, let alone a brand new car! haha! it had 507 miles on it at the dealer, so I think the break in period is almost over. I've hear 600 miles, and I've heard 800 miles...I'm just wanting to make sure which is correct.

also, my name definitely does have to do with the old Corollas. It's an old user name that I've been using for about a decade, or so, on various message boards that I've stuck with. my previous car(s) before the Fit was a Toyota MR2, so I still have a lot of love for Toyota's. this Fit just "fit" what my current needs are for a vehicle. the MR2 was a great DD for 5 years, but it was just time to move on to something else, you know.

anyone here actually autoX these things with any success? what is the class they fit in? and what is the class they do best in? I would love to do a K24 swap, but after some research, that would be $7-$10k after it's all said and done...that's totally way past my price range for a damn good shifter kart setup, so I will probably go in that direction with my finances...also, the dealership I bought it from offers a 250k mile powertrain warranty for every new car sold......so, that would be a 20+ year powertrain warranty at the rate I rack miles up on a car....so, I would not want to void that, if I can help it. I guess light suspension mods would be more suitable to make it more handy in the corners.....there's a lot of fun making a slow car fast due to your abilities behind the wheel, you know...
