Promise on the Horizon for the L Series.
Honda proposes Fit engine to replace classic Formula Ford mill — Autoblog
This information is vague, but it does demonstrate that the L series powerplant may be capable of far more power than it currently outputs. Although the unit it might replace is a Ford 1.6 liter, capable of 150hp I would assume that the honda unit would come fairly close to that or it would be pointless to make a change. A fit with atleast 130, or dare I say 150 hp would still be a monster in our form.
