Cold Air Intakes

has anyone installed a good cold air intake into their GE? I was looking around, and im thinking either Injen or Takeda Attack.

Ive never really heard of Takeda Attack before. Has anyone install this cold air into their fit?

I like injen, but their parts are expensive.

I have the original PRM CAI, not the PRM short ram

Like it a lot, like +6HP and +4 tq if I remember.

We recieved a Takeda intake from AFE and installed it. Excellent fit and finish. It made a few more horsepower in the midrange. I'll be printing actual numbers in the Oct issue of Honda Tuning Magazine.

the air channel is mainly for cooling down the engine. There is still heat that comes off of the engine. That is why many CAIs take air from either the bottom or the side channels to get cooler air away from the heat of the engine.

Don't know about GE, stock GD is a cold-air intake. People around here don't think that a *stock* cold-air intake can exist. Well, if it's not taking hot air from the engine bay? It's taking air from down below, air that's cooler, away from the engine..... yeah that's a cold air intake. End of rant!

I would like a K20 but this is a budget daily driver and an intake is $200.00 and easy to install

I like the PRM, there are many that say that CAI doesn't do much but I took note of the MPG, and it definitely got better. And maybe its just the louder engine making me feel like I pull better, but it does feel like there is a tiny increase. I drive about 130 mile(freeway) a day so I have lots of time to notice this stuff. For sure I drive harder and still getting better MPG's...if that's worth the money spent it's debatable, but as long as I like it, and I'm happy, who cares what others think.

I would say do the DIY Intake but they punish you for not buying parts that come with stickers in car shows, right?
