I don't know what horn I have, but its not wimpy...the first time I heard it, I was like the what the heck?! Its nothing like my fiance's Civic horn which is the meep meep style. I wonder if the dealer changed it out before I purchased it?

THis is hillarious, OP made me laugh...

I made the Accord horn upgrade on day #3 of owning the car. I mean, the first time I heard my 'meep meep' I though NO F'ING WAY!!!!!!

Word of caution: Order it from collgehills, because they will include a set of clips that you will INEVITABLY break when you remove one of the covers. It is impossible to remove the cover without breaking those clips, hence they are being included for you. Other places will NOT include the clips, and I have no clue what part numbers those clips are!

Just for S**ts & grins I'll hve to dig around under the hood to find it... not that it really matters. The last 4 Japanese cars I have had only had one horn, the last car I replaced the one horn with two Fiamm freeway blasters (hi & lo tone) but since the Fit is a smaller car I decided to go with something that would get noticed...

According to the exploded view diagram, the part number for the clip is 91518-SM4-003.

Love the meep-meep horn. People consider getting honked at a personal affront to their honor and dignity. Which is ridiculous, but it is what it is. I drive in a lot of bad areas where affronts to honor and dignity could potentially be remedied with bullets. I feel less likely to get shot at if I have to use the meep-meep.

^That's why I would like to have two options. Couldn't give up my rage horn but I'd like to have a meep horn as a backup. :P

I have this one on all of my vehicles and it is FREAKIN LOUD. I even installed on on my golf cart, LOL!

Why oh Why...

DO auto makers use these wimpy...meep! meep! horns on small vehicles?

So the horn sounds erm...... cute? The horn is for safety, or so they tell me.

Mine is history, once the Accord horn comes in.

I was doing 75 on the highway when a semi truck turned into my lane, I'm not so sure if he would have heard the meep meep. So glad I upgraded to the Accord horn. My dad wants one now for his 02 CR-V, haha.

Nope... there are 2 horns on the 09's, (at least on the Sport model with alarm). One horn is for the honk, the other is for the alarm. They are both Meep Meep horns. I assure you!

Huh? I have a 2002 CR-V, and I can tell you without a doubt, the horn on the CR-V is *much* louder than the Accord horn I fitted into my Fit. I mean, MUCH LOUDER!!!!

I too could not warn a truck with my horn. Truck backing up, held horn for a good 3 seconds and WHAM! He couldn't even hear me.

I haven't heard the horn from a CR-V yet, maybe he was surprized when I honked the horn.
