I can't get enough!

I just simply love my Fit! I just took a road trip to NY with the family in the Fit and did about 450 miles and this little car just flat out performs and what I am referring to is what it does overall as a car..

It carried everything we needed and had tons of room to spare and as of my last tank fill up, I have gone ~240 miles and am sitting on 1/2 a tank and I was cruising most of the way at speeds of 70-80mph.

I wish there was more pep in the engine, but I also don't "beat on" my vehicles so it may be there, but with everything the Fit does (and very well)....acceleration is the least of my concerns!

I've owned my baby since Aug 22 and just finished its 3rd coat of wax.

Time to go stare at her all cuddled up in the garage!

How does the family like it? Are they just as happy?

My 15 y/o son thinks the car is cool (because he can plug in his Ipod) and the wife likes it ok but says the suspension is stiff and rides a little rough. But I love it!

Really? It's floaty to me. I wish it were stiffer so I don't get too much body roll in corners.

stiffer suspension does not usually = less body roll in corners.

ask any number of german cars that lean less than the fit and take bumps with more aplomb.

they generally are more expensive, yes, but i'm just talking techincalities.

i too think the GE's springs are oversprung vs the dampers. a tad less spring rate (say minus 30lbs/in) and stiffer dampers, and a slightly bigger swaybar front and rear will make it perfect.

but then again, honda has built the car to support anyone from 100lbs to 300lbs or more + passengers and luggage so that's quite a bit of a task...especially at its budget price.
