I'm trying to sell my Mugen replica hatch garnish if you want it. I never put it on. It doesn't come Nighthawk Black, it's primer black so it would look fugly on a black Fit unless it was painted.

i have a feeling they may both be talking about different things, i think OP is talking about the GE garnish that surrounds the 'H' emblem and houses the wiper. I think trancedsailor may be talking about that add-on garnish for GD's that evens up the hatch with the rear bumper.

i'd be curious to see a color-matched GE garnish though.. i've thought about it once or twice.

Honda did that garnish in black because it helps make the car look lower and wider (good idea for a narrow but tall car maybe)

Mind you, feel free to customize your car any way you wish. That is part of the fun. Not intending to discourage in any way. Just that Honda didnt cheap out by making it black, I think it was intended to make the car look more squat and muscular.

I actually plan on going to the other extreme by painting the lower rear center section of the rear bumper black, as it seemingly makes the car look even wider and lower yet.

yeah, i was planning on painting my rear bumper black also (diffuser section?)...don't understand why this wasn't done from the factory...did that to my g35 way back when:

i was jus curious to see if anyone did color match the rear garnish. i might pick up that chrome trim on ebay for like 50 bucks and paint that so I can always go back.
