The Fit has it's front plate, the S has been without a front since day one. It's a fix it ticket here, so no big deal.

IL requires front plate, I have it in the normal factory spot. No frames or covers or anything silly, just the plate and the bolts. Daily driver=no need to get pulled over. If I had a Ferrari I might be able to afford giving the local law enforcement free money, but I do not.

yah, for states requiring front plates im not sure if the cops are going to be too fond of that location because it's kinda facing left...(?) i think it needs to be facing forward as in a flat plane.

Leave the land of nuts and fruitcakes (Calif) and move to Arizona. NOBODY has front plates, they don't issue them.

Just bought my Fit last week - so I am still waiting for my license plate.

I plan to put it under my bumper (kind of hide it half way) - hope the cop here (CA) doesn't give me any headache...

Prefer no front plate, but if you need to have one, I like the OEM (front center) better (although I did see one guy with his off-center and it did look OK, at least in his pic.

I just moved from AZ (no front plate required) to CA ($100 ticket for each occurence), so I just got an OEM style replacement (didn't think about asking the AZ dealer to send me one until I read someone else on this forum suggest it - too late now).

I got the front plate on...rather not deal with getting a ticket.

The front plate also helps protect the front bumper when other vehicles are backing into a parking spot that is in front of you.
