How easy is it to add the USB wire to our stock radios? 09 FIt LX
You can see the instructions here:
Honda Fit Accessories - Genuine Factory Honda Accessories
It's under "USB Adapter for Stereo".
It looks tedious, but it does not require any cutting or modifying existing wiring. Maybe not for a total beginner but if you're at all handy it's probably fine for DIY.

It depends on your mechanical skills. This is the instruction how to install USB in base model.

I would do it myself.

Holy cow, I didn't even look at the price. The USB port is really convenient (I love just leaving a memory stick in the glove box and not having to always plug in my phone), but it's not $150 convenient. $150 will get you good MP3 player and an aux cable, no installation needed

I had previously bought the MusicLink accessory for both my CR-V and my FA5 (Si Sedan)... at $200 a piece. It's worth it to me to have the ability to control it from my finger tips.
in fact, worth it to spend the $115 or whatever it costs if I get a fit to add steering wheel audio to a fit sport non/navi (1 i can't justify the cost for navi, 2 I like my manual transmissions)
the difference is in the convenience of being able to change the song from the steering wheel or head unit.

as they come from the factory yes... but since I've added them to my mother in-law's LX civic... i'm pretty sure I could manage on a fit.
