Arrow Recommendations on car seat covers?

What places do you recommend for ordering car seat covers? Vinyl? Leather? Suede? Does anyone put covers on the back seats? I had neoprene covers on my old Civic and enjoyed them and am considering getting them again since I am in Florida and when I work out it's a pain having to sit on towels. I'm hesitant on vinyl in the heat down here.

I'm active with the Miata crowd and Katskinz is the company they strongly endorse.

I know I'm gonna sound like a wet blanket, but seat covers on cars with airbags that deploy from the seat (all US Fits) are a bad idea. I know there are some companies out there that claim to make seat covers with correct material used in the deployment area, but Honda officially recommends against the use of seat covers. If I DID do it, I'd make sure I'm comfortable with the engineering of the cover; an airbag deploying into your lower back versus beside you can seriously injure or kill you.

All that said, I have had one customer use this company Custom Seat Covers Designed to fit perfectly with good results, there is a visible place where the airbag would deploy, but I'm not an engineer. They did provide the customer good service and the product looked nearly factory in fit.

FWIW

rhyneba, you're definitely not a wet blanket! I am glad you pointed this out. I had no idea about the air bags being in the seat or wouldn't have thought about that. This is why I am so glad I found these forums, so I can learn from people who know more than I do about my new car. I will definitely take that into consideration when finding covers for my seats.

rhyneba - I was wondering about seat covers and the airbags. I keep my cars a long time and seat covers are a must. I'm going to think about it this time though and I'll check out Coverking.

I agree with babalooo--these forums are such a great help. Thanks to all.

I wound up buying the Coverking neoprene covers with the side airbag flaps from Costco's website. I got the black/black ones. It was a great deal and they were easy to put on. And they add a bit of cushion. Very pleased.

Isn't the neoprene hot and sticky in the summer? Especially black?

How easy were the Cover King covers to put on.
I am needing something to put on my seats. They get
dusty, dirty so easily and are impossible to get clean.
A vacuum cleaner is not able to get all of the stuff up.
I even use sticky tape to try and get the little stuff and
it doesn't seem to help either.

I just got my covers so I can't say how hot all black covers will get in a Florida summer. But I did have neoprene covers before and that fabric isn't like leather, they don't get hot and sticky. These were pretty easy to put on by myself. The directions weren't that helpful (not words, just pictures), but it's pretty obvious how they go on.
