Missing body plugs?!
Finally remembered to look for this stuff while the sun is up...I've got neither plugs nor strakes, though I have a bag which contains the front license plate bracket and remember thinking the bag contained way more pieces than the bracket has any business requiring, so it may well contain the strakes and plugs.
You are lucky you can install it all yourself. I had no plugs or rear strakes, and the dealer installed my front license plate bracket by sinking a wood screw right through the front of the bumper.
I agree. I just got mine in the mail and installed them yesterday. I do notice there is less resonance now. Crazy because when I got them in the mail and seen how small they were I was really skeptical they would make any difference..but they do.
I thought I'd add my story to the list. I was doing my own rust proofing when my Fit was new (August, 2010), and I noticed the big oval holes under the car. I took the car to the dealer because I thought it wandered to much on the highway. While I was there, I asked them if there were plugs available for the big holes. They ran around the shop and found a couple here and a couple there. Some of the mechanics acted like they never heard of them, others said " ask Joe, maybe he has some". What a joke!. I have owned at least one Honda car all of my driving life, ( 30 years ), and now I'm losing my confidence in Honda. Now my manual transmission is leaking oil. The saga continues.

A analogy like asking a heart surgeon about a wart you have on your body.
So I wouldn't really count that against them.
Your manual transmission leak is completely unrelated to the rest of your story, but that is something you should get checked out under warranty.

Just checked my 2011 Sport...
-all 4 body plugs were in place.
-both rear strakes were in place.
-protective tape from the lower front spoiler was still in place.
-front license plate was installed semi-correctly.
I removed the protective film from the lower front spoiler.
Instead of putting the self-tapping bolt on the lower edge of the
bumper they installed it smack dab in the middle where it will show
a hole if the bracket is removed. Not a biggie for me, but perhaps
of some concern for those who don't need a front plate and want
the clean look of no license plate bracket, except... so much for that
with the hole right in the middle of the bumper.

honda jazz 1.4 mt 2012 (bought in sept 2011): body plugs are present and also the rear streaks, sadly though, tyre noise is present too inside the cabin at high speeds (over 80-100 km/h). thanks for the heads-up anyway.
i vaguely intend to add some noise insulating cover to the wheel wells. i did notice that some rubberised material is already added there. also, on the exterior part of the wheel wells there is a plastic covering. i was wondering if the noise isn't (partly) due to those, and i mean the noise of stones/gravel hitting it from beneath, but also the general tyre noise which reverberates in it. a guy from a car service told me that he may try to add insulating material (foam or else) between the metal wheel well and those plastic coverings.
i was wondering if this really might help. anyone has tried this procedure? i remember reading in this forum about someone who tried (or was advising for) this, but don't remember where.

Well dang --- I'm missing the plugs too! In fact I'm only missing one. One of them was present, but not pressed all the way into the hole. Dollars to donuts the last one was "installed" too quickly and saw fit to uninstall itself during the drive home.
How annoying! But my dealer didn't do the state inspection when we took the car (it was a Sunday) so I need to go back this weekend anyway ...

Just checked my 2009 Fit Sport. No plugs and no strakes. I'm trying to decide what, if anything, I should do about this. I've moved a long distance away from the dealer where I bought my Fit, and it has been more than 3 years so the factory warranty has ended. I did, however, buy an extended warranty from Honda, so I am tempted to ask the dealer in my new city to put these on next time I bring it in for an oil change.
Thanks to this thread and the linked service bulletin I now have a list of things ask about before taking possession of my Fit from the dealer (hopefully this week).
I guess you could call it a "Fit for Dummies" checklist.

@ds61761: normally this is not an issue for warranty (as there's nothing to be repaired) - the dealer was obliged to attach these items to the car from the day of delivery, so it's still his responsibility to provide you with these, even after 3 years.
my guess is they will either send them to your new address or ask the closest dealer to resolve this issue.

I just recently solved a water intrusion leak on the rear (driver-side) passenger door. During either a hard rain or just washing the car water would get past the outside window seal and drip into the door frame. The plastic liner, just under the interior door upholstery, is supposed to act as a seal. Nonetheless, the water must have escape routes, which are those holes that everyone seems to be plugging up on the bottom of the door. Really, not a good idea. If you want to verify, remove your upholstery trim on one door, spray some water on the outside window, and watch what happens. It won't take long to have huge rust holes on the bottom of each plugged door.

What's on your checklist besides the plugs and strakes?
@Spacecoast: i really doubt about that connection. else the engineers from honda would have noticed it, and have done something about it, or allert the owners to take away the body plugs.
i'm pretty sure there is a huge number of honda jazz owners who have those plugs installed and yet have no water leaking inside issues.
i think you need to look elsewhere to solve the leak - check with a specialist.

We had one instance of a hard rain last month...which resulted in a significant water leak on the drivers side in the back. That plastic sheeting was no longer making a firm seal against the interior door frame, and Honda designed and placed an access hole in the perfect wrong position. I fixed this by sealing the access hole with A/C tape. But water still enters inside the door frame, and there is nothing that can be done to prevent that from occuring. All cars have door drain holes..and for a reason. I posted a thread under (rear door water leak...problem identified and solved) not too long ago.

@Spacecoast: well, you may have a point there, but anyway, i really dont feel like removing the door interior trim, on the one hand, and on the second - don't forget that, apart from the holes covered by the body plugs, there are other, smaller holes in that area (at least one near each body plug), which, they, may play the role for draining the water out.
ok, i have to admit i cant be sure, but it still might worth verifying this stuff with a honda (jazz/fit) qualified mechanic. or maybe even worth asking directly at the fabric? mine (honda jazz) was made in england and i found their email address on the internet and send them an email with another question (related to the road noise problem getting annoying inside the cabin at high speeds) - to which they didnt bother to answer so far. actually they did, once, only to tell me to redirect my query to another department from another city. which i did, but no answer from them ever since (about a month ago)
needless to say i never had a water leaking inside problem with this jazz - it's true that i only own it since last september. fingers crossed.
other than that, a very good car so far.
