I am curious as to where the Fits are being assembled, mainly for the Fits that are for sale in the USA...simply because that's where i'll be purchasing one. It would be awesome if they were made AND assembled in Japan and then shipped over, but i know we have at least one or two Honda assembly plants over here in the US.... Thanks for all the info...also, when and if you post, list your year and model...

 

all u.s. fits are made in japan... all years.

 

yeah, all Hondas are Made (manufactured) in Japan, but many are assembled (put together) in various assembly plants. So, just so i understand you correctly ... all Fits are being assembled in Japan? Thanks for your help...

how do you know where your fit was assembled in?

i use to have the sticker, the one on the driver side rear window, that told me but i lost it.

The VIN on my Fit ends in a digit.

 

I just gave you the first 11 characters. The rest are the number of car that built from that plant that year.

 

Ah so. S = Suzuka. It would be interesting (though doubtful) to see if there are any quality/reliability differences between the two plants. I suspect day of the week or phase of the moon would be about as significant.

okay, so what about the Shenzen plant? is this for real?

now i want to start a thread to see if there might be any correlation between the high MPG Fits / low MPG Fits and their assembly plants!

Suzuka plant was rated higher than Sayama. Mine is made in Sayama too. The ratings are somewhere online or in these forums. I dont remember where I Saw it.
