Old post but my 2010 was built in Suzuka

 

Mine was also made in early 2011 out of sayama

 

Will be assembled in Mexico soon if it goes according to plan by Honda

 

If they assemble them in Mexico they will put cow poop in the seats and make the carpet from cocaine with marijuana fenders!

 

hmmm..... marijuana fenders, eh? maybe i'll have to upgrade.

Anyway, the "made in Shenzhen" comment got me curious, because I've spent a fair bit of time in and around that city (for work, architecture) and have never noticed any Honda manufacturing facilities.

A bit of research found that Chinese Fits are made by Guangqi Honda Automobile (Chinese: 广汽本田) in Guangzhou, which is also in Guangdong province, but up the river a couple hours from Shenzhen. But since the comment appears to be made by a resident of CA, his fit was most likely not produced in Guangzhou either....

 

Suzuka Japan, 2010 Manual Sport didn't have the LMS recall on mine if that means anything.

Old post, but why do the online Honda parts dealers ask which plant your Fit was built in? Are there there differences between the Suzuka and Sayama built Fits?
