Japan Honda fits catch fire

Honda Fits are now catching fire and have bad electric steering in Japan in latest recall.

Honda Fires, Collisions Prompt Sixth Major Recall for Fit - Bloomberg

Sad to see Honda lose control on their quality control.

Japan models only, not North American

These fires are specific to the Japanese domestic model. There are no recent cases of fires in North America that I could find. The JDMs are all made in Japan. It seems that Mexican Fits do not have enough chilli to be fiery enough.

Please stay calm...

Exactly what parts are causing the fires? Is the same supplier providing these parts to the Mexican Fits? If they are....

This is terrible news. It's no wonder Honda's reliability rating dropped last year.
