Wow! That had to take sone work and money to get all the parts. I can't help but wonder though, how much is shipping + inspection +registration on a jdm fit?

well the work i actually owe to JDM_DOHC_SiR! i bought most of the parts thru him and some other parts from PECK.

what killed me the most was TIME! i ordered all these parts back in AUGUST!!! freakin US customs!!!! but all that matters now is that i have the parts n im so PSYCHED about putting them on. just one week away!

The thought just occurred to me. Why does the JDM front-end get a nice grille in front of the condenser, yet the USDM model gets nothing, zilch, nada, open space? And at that, even after so many Fit owners have made it obvious to Honda it could and has represented a problem for U.S. Fit owners. Not to mention all of the other features/options available to Fits produced for other countries.

Is this an indication of what Honda actually thinks of its American customers?

I'm just sayin'...

Seems like a lot of time, effort, and MONEY for what, exactly? A stubby front end that doesn't meet collision regs and blinds oncoming drivers?

You know that the airbags deploy on a front end collision, therefore the collision sensor must be very close to the front bumper. Do your plans also include swapping in a JDM airbag sensor?

you bring up a good point and the funny thing is that i was just talking to my friend about this. we found out, what we can do is relocate the sensor so that it will still work n be safe for me when im driving.

Honestly, safety is my number one priority. the car will be modded to fit the US Virginia safety standard.

SAFETY FIRST!!!

You should have gone with the J's racing bumper while you we're at it. That thing is sick. Other than that I don't like the JDM front.

Congrats. If I had the time and money to do this I would as well. At first I didn't like the JDM front end, but over time I have grown to love it, mostly because the ridiculous side view of the USDM front end. I hate the long nose.

omg this must be a really clean job, i assume there will be no cutting or such since you pretty much have every part for the swap? and imo the JDM front will look great! much slimmer, the way our cars were designed to look like to begin with

boo hoo on crash regulations. usa regulations are overly strict so there is leway there. the airbag sensor is on the frame rail and you friend are not smart!

to op, now you have the parts, get to work! i got my jdm conversion done in one day with a friend. granted, the GE front end is a teeny bit more work, but still GIT ER DUN NAO!
