tune up

hey fit freakers. i was just wondering for you guys that passed 30k miles did you get a tune up already? or how many miles did you wait or will you wait. thanks!

Tune up I believe is recommended for 100K miles I believe... it's in the manual but I don't want to walk out the to car and check.

You're right. Not recommended until 100K.

True, but I would probably want to adjust the valve clearances around 30,000 miles.

inspecting valve clearance is a maintenance schedule 4 item (same as replace spark plugs).

Unless they're making noise, I wouldn't go near them.

I'd do plugs at 50k, just insurance. Pollen filter ever 10-15k, trans fluid at 50k and I'd personally change the coolant at 75k. I'll be doing my plugs soon (around 10k) only because I'm upgrading to colder (Kraftwerks spec) plugs. But otherwise wait. Regardless what a manufacturer says, I'd never trust plugs past 50k, platinum or not. I'd also suggest that when taking it to the dealer (if you do that stuff) you plan on regular brake fluid flushes, every 30k or so, or 2 years. A lot of people overlook brake fluid. It absorbs a lot of water, a lot of crap from the brake system and if you drive the car hard it makes a huge difference.
