Bernardi Honda Price increase

Just FYI
I know many of us shop for parts on Bernardiparts.com. They have some of the better prices. Well they are doing price increases April 1. So if there is a part or accessory you have been meaning to get...quick order it now.

Dear Valued Bernardi Parts Customer,

Happy Friday to everyone! I just wanted to take a moment to inform our customers that American Honda will be raising prices for all Genuine Honda Parts and Accessories on April 1, 2010. We expect our systems to be updated with this new pricing information within the first week of April.

So if you would like to save some extra money, we advise placing an order for those items before the price increase on April 1, 2010.

Thank you all for being part of the Bernardi Family!

Sincerely,

Erik Richards
Operations Manager - BernardiParts.com

Lol! Your sales prices are great. But your extreme shipping costs more than make up for the savings on items! I wanted to order only two small items, and Bernardi is charging me $24.57 for crappy UPS ground? With all due respect, I don't think so! That is, unless I'm missing something on your checkout pages. Surely I must be missing something, right?

One of your competitors offers UPS ground shipping on the same 2 items for only $16.46... and they only charge $1 and $2 dollars more for the same items. Compared to certain other companies, even that's too high. But at least that is a heck of a lot easier to swallow. Another company offers me only $11.15 for UPS ground... their item prices are around the same as the company above.

Some companies offer free UPS ground for orders over $75.00! And while I don't expect free, I would expect better than what you're charging.

Don't get me wrong... I'm not trying to ridicule Bernardi. Maybe that's what you must charge. And while I don't know your yearly sales, I assume you're large enough to offer better shipping prices than you apparently do now.

Anyway, sorry. The rates just seem a but steep for me.

Shipping is the reason I didn't order from Bernardi or college Hills. I wanted to get the Horn upgrade for the fit but the shipping was more than the horn. With my 15% discount at my local dealer, parts are cheaper or equal in price, even with tax. (example - $13 to ship a bottle of touch up paint to VT is INSANE. $3 would be understandable... )

Yeah... I'm pretty disappointed in Bernardi's shipping rates as a whole. You can't beat the prices, that's for sure. But when adding shipping, like I said, no thanks.

For what I want to order, it appears when shipping is included, 'Honda Parts Deals' seems to give the best price. I've never ordered from them, but I assume they're alright. IF anyone knows different, PLEASE let me know before I order later today or tomorrow.
