Yes. If the clips show stress they should be replaced rather than re-used.

don't wanna sound like a **** but i think it looked better as stock, it finishes the roof line. jacked up like you have it makes the spoiler end pieces stray from the rear hatch, thus breaking the lines of the roof->spoiler . this is just my opinion though, cool mod for those who want to change it, needs stickied for sure!

Lol, even I agree with you, but I still leave it up to this day. It's one of those things you can fix really easy if you get tired of it. This one of my 'for the hell of it mods' also one of my first mods to begin with.

Get them from the dealership. They're cheap. Also you can use the pictured bolts and just slide them all the way in.

Pitchers here and the link. If you look close at the pic of mine on bench with the wrong bolts you can see the clips sitting just in front.

[QUOTE=Black3sr;918158]Well that was rather easy. Especially after the second trip to Home Despot for the correct size bolts. I bought 1/4 vs 3/16th the first time and they do not go into clip holes on the body. I am raised not much more than the width of the nut.

I did not raise it too much. Not crazy about the gap in the middle now between spoiler and roof. I wonder how much crap I will get in there in the winter on slushy roads.

A pic with wrong bolts in place.

but by looking at the clips they slide to the center of the spoiler am i right?? time to search for a vid.

Does it matter? Just take the damn thing off and the clips come out easily right or left.

Oh yes. When I did it, it popped out and nearly flew a foot into the air and spun so I had to miraculously catch it. Be careful when tightening it though...i broke a bolt and sometimes the part where the spoiler bolts into likes to deform so it's no longer flat.

^ I was looking for the same thing at Lowes and I got really confused... I asked someone who worked there and they were confused to, then I showed them this thread on my phone and they saw the picture of the package for the bolts and they were like "OH you just need #10-24" and the worker didn't know what was meant by 3/16 diameter, but she found me some bolts that fit. so I think the important part is that the package says #10-24 and 1 1/2inch long

The second line says 3/16ths but right it is more common to be referred to as 10-24. Ten is the number of threads per inch I believe.
