I have a 2007 sport model that needs a door. A salvage yard a couple hours away from me has one but it is off a 2008 model. The only thing they could tell me was that it was blue. Did they have the same vivid blue color in 2008 that they had in 2007? Were there any other blues, because I know there are now.

 

Just found out there were 3 blues. Dark Blue, Vivid Blue and Tidewater. Guess I have a 33% chance.

 

There might even be a better chance to know if you posted in the first gen section of the forum.

For everywhere outside of the US and Canada. What are the 4th and 5th characters of your VIN? If its GD then you have the 1st gen., if GE then its the 2nd gen.

 

Unfortunately it is the FIT at the auto salvage yard I have the questions about. I haven't been able to find out from them, paint codes, VIN's......I just hope the door is compatible. There weren't any changes in that I hope?

 

Well it would help to know your VIN number so we can help you find the right door.

For the GD (see my sig below my post) there were only 2 blues; Vivid Blue Pearl and Tidewater Blue. For the GE, there were still 2 blues but Vivid Blue Pearl was discontinued; so, Tidewater Blue and Blue Sensation were the color options.

Vivid Blue Pearl is exactly as it sounds, a very bright, vivid blue that can have a green or purple tint depending on the light and it is only available for the GD chassis (Again, see my sig). Tidewater Blue is a very light blue that can also appear as a strange white depending on the light and it is available for both GD and GE chassis.

The dark blue that you were referring to in your previous post is Blue Sensation Pearl, that is available for the GE chassis (see Virtual's sig).

In the driver side door jam, you will see the paint code for the car.
