need some solid answers...

Hey, so i've done searching, and i've read the 4 or 5 threads on this topic, but i would like to hear some real answers. I'm looking at buying a set of lowering springs off of a GD to put on my GE. From what I've gathered, the top and bottom size are the same, so they "fit". In stock form, the GD spring is a stiffer spring and about 20mm lower than the GE spring. So, in theory, a lowering spring that drops a car 25mm on a GD will lower a GE 45mm, correct?

also, there are no aftermarket struts for the GE yet made for lowering. and the current lowering springs (t1r, tein, df210) are made to work with the stock struts.

i just need someone that has experience with either of these topics to chime in and let me know if i'm going to completely destroy my car if i buy lowering springs from a GD and put them on my GE. and please, if you're not answering the question, don't put stupid comments in here. thanks!

Yes, the springs will "fit" but be stiffer.

I'm not sure about the lowering levels.

But--is there a reason you want GD springs?
I have Swift Sport Mach Springs and I COULD NOT be happier with the drop, ride and quality.

I guess it depends on how low you want to go.

I hope you find your answers.

going to low on stock shocks might not be good.
you will lose all the travel in the shock.
if money isn't an issue get yourself some coilovers.

this was my main concern. and money IS the issue, I can pick up a set of GD springs for about half the cost of GE springs. def can't afford coils, maybe someday. ha.

thanks for all the really great input guys.

about the GD koni's, I thought there was an ABS line or something (i honestly can't remember what it is) that was in the wrong place and would be really a pain to put on a GE. Is that totally wrong?
