USB no data message....every 10 minutes

Hello, first time poster and 2010 Honda Fit owner. I'm loving the car so far, and I love the capability of having my ipod in the top glove compartment, connected via the usb... except for the fact that it stops playing and displays the "USB No Data" message. A lot. At first, I thought it was due to a bump in the road, but I've had it happen even while I'm not moving.

Does anyone else have this problem? If so, if this is common, does Honda have some sort of fix for this? Or, is my USB connection defective? Or has anyone else come up with something that prevents this from happening?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. The car has pretty much exceeded my expectations since I got it, except for this. I've gotten so annoyed with it that I use the Aux jack now, unless I just want to charge my Ipod.

Thanks!

I actually am using the cable that came with my ipod, but maybe I'll try a 3rd party one to see if that works any better. Thanks for the help guys!

My ipod has just started acting up as well. It's stopped charging when plugged into my car. Last week it did some other weird stuff too. The buttons would scroll very slowly. It would say its playing the song but nothing would come out of the radio. It switched from screen to screen on its own. It would play a song for like 30 seconds and then move forward to another song that may be 10 more songs down the list.
I noticed the battery level was very low, so I took it out and charged it on my radio in the house and it did fine.

This doesn't necessarily answer your question, but I just put my songs on a USB drive for the convenience of just leaving it in the car and not worrying about the summer high heat inside the top compartment box.
