GTSPEC's New GE8 Braces.. Review 2
GTSPEC's New GE8 Braces.. Review 2
Made another visit to GTSPEC for a rear-sway-bar-reinforcement-brace fitting. Calvin asked me if I was interested.. LOL! If you clicked on the link you notice that this bar is not like any other for our GE8's. It is a fine piece just like all the other GTSPEC pieces and it is a shame it is also hidden under the car. Install went smooth and it bolted right up. The only glitch was the drivers side spring lower insulator (rubber piece around bottom of spring) needed the nub cut off. A bolt uses the hole that it used to occupy so it need to go and it was no big deal. Other then that it all went back together and I was off for a test drive. I took to the pavement like I was being chased and man this thing did not disappoint. Yes I felt the difference and yes it made me smile. It is a fine addition to my setup and I do recommend it for anyone that is looking to add a RSB. On my return the guys knew I was happy by the smile and after listening to me run on about how I felt they kindly dismissed me (I guess they were busy
).
I headed to that stretch of road (my test track) to shake it down and that's exactly what I did. In my last review I mentioned how the bars stiffened things up and the car stuck to the pavement. Now it feels like the rear is carving like a ski. The car rotates nicely and the rear follows the front through the corners. Almost feels like a rear wheel drive. For those that will argue that you do not need a RSB please continue believing that and start your own thread if you have the need to explain. I'm not trying to start anything but just avoiding one. I feel it was a fine addition not a waste of time. Will it help you with your DD? Maybe if you deal with some twists and turns or need to get on and off the ramps with authority
. If not then hyper mile away my friends.
I have been running the braces for some time now and have not seen a problem. I'm very pleased if you have not noticed and back these braces with confidence you all would be also. Now we need to see if they will release them in the US.
Thanks once again to GTSPEC for the opportunity.

The brace bars are similar to what we have locally... I was asking for opinions previously in the forum: https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/2nd-...ad-design.html
And yes, I can feel the improvements after installing the bars...
