Dashmat Pics
Hi guys! Fairly new to this forum. I'm considering a dash mat for my 09 Fit Sport and am trying to get a good idea of how they will look. If anybody has any shots of theirs that they'd be willing to post, I'd appreciate it. I'm specifically looking at the Cover King ones in black with either Velour or Capet (haven't decided yet)
Thanks!
Thanks!

DON'T DO IT!
I bought the Cover King velour cover for my '09, and it basically fit like KaKa!
I've had several of the carpet-type from Dash-Mat over the years and love 'em. Don't know it a cover from them would be any better but let me explain the problem....
- The Fit's dash has several contour changes and pronounced pods (gauge cluster and center-stack), along with the two sets of vents on the corners, makes for many many stitches and seams. All of this makes it very hard to accurately and consistently have everything line-up properly. I worked with Cover King to get a couple of different samples, but each one had it's own issue with fit, ultimately i just called it quits.

Yeah, not offense to anyone, but from most of the pics I've seen, they do look tacky. I guess I was just hoping that there was something out there that was a little more contoured but without the glare of the vinyl dash. I'll guess I'll live with a little glare Thanks for the replies.

Just recently got the new, DashMat "Limited Edition" model and are exceedingly happy with it. Since it's a warp-knit material, it fits the dash top like a glove (not at all clunky looking like some of the heavier carpet-type materials, or even the velours). The cutouts and edging are first rate. There are only a limited 4-color selection....but, hey, we wanted the basic black anyway, because here in ultra sunny Arizona we were getting a lot of bothersome reflections from the OEM dashtop, itself---even tho we'd added additional windshield tinting. Reflections are now a thing of the past....plus car interior is black anyway.
Sorry we don't have modern day digital equipment to take some pics, but, anyway, here's a link to one source:

Mmm, I'll take some pics of mine. The glare on the Fit was bad enough to push me to try out the dash mat. Now that I've tried it, I actually went out and bought two more for my other cars. Going from driving with glare to absolutely zero glare is awesome, the difference in clarity and eye strain is indescribable. Same reason why you see football and baseball players paint black lines below their eyes, it definitely cuts out the glare.
I have to admit though, it ain't pretty =P

Aw, ya got it wrong, "Zalthras." The DashMat "Limited Edition" IS pretty....at least in Black. Looks like it was put on there by Honda.
Hope that new member, "capitalptp" (who originated this thread) got some help from our replies.

Dash Matt effectiveness (a picture comparison)
Here are some pictures of the CoverKing Dash Mat in Black for comparison.
Without Dash Mat:
With Dash Mat:
All pictures are taken in manual mode, with the following settings and no exposure compensation:
ISO:80
Shutter: 1/160
Aperture: 4.0
2pm, Skies were clear with a slight haze. Sun's position:
Azimuth 216° (meaning just a bit after peak - shadows straight down)
Altitude 59°
So as you can CLEARLY see,..... well worth it

I forgot to mention that I have the Velour version on my Mom's RX330, and it's even better than the Poly version I have on the Fit. So if anyone's on the market for one.... my recommendation is DO IT, who cares how it looks. And get Velour
