I got this idea when I was desperate to get my Phone charged. So i stick it in the USB slot used for playing mp3 on my usb stick and surprise! it charges my phone! I don't know if it'll play any songs off my Blackberry cuz I usually don't keep any in it.

Hope someone finds this little bit of info usefull.

 

I do the same thing too sometimes. Unfortunately, it does not play music that way, but you can always use the AUX jack at the same time.
