I thought it might be a good idea to start a thread filled with parts that folks may be trying to find for the GE8. I figure if we're all looking it only helps everyone in the end! I'm currently looking for:

1. Vented CF Hood
2. Black "H" emblems
3. 17"x7 black or Time Attack mesh wheels that don't weigh more than 17lbs.
4. Black Headlights
5. Undertray, I don't really care what it's made out of...I might have to go custom with this one though.

I heard I can get #4 straight from the dealer is this true?

For blackheadlights:
Find Honda Parts and Honda Accessories by Car Model - Bernardi Honda Parts and Accessories
Gonna cost you about $219 each...but these are brand new OEM.

I'm dying for a vented CF hood...in fact, I'm in the process of making one now. I ordered some louvers from a snowmobile that will look sexy as fawk. I will keep you posted.

Second on my most wanted list is a carbon fiber rear hatch. This should be a dramatic weight reduction.

After that...my master plan:

don't the base fits have the black heads? just trade with one of them

17x7 black time attack wheels

wheelweights.net

That'll show you your options, then go ahead and look at what style you like/what you can afford

I would like a Duramax conversion kit. This way, I can have tons of power and run Diesel. Only problems are, where would I put the engine, and would the Fits transmission hold up?

Nope, I guess I am. I'm sure all those stickers and headlights give you superior performance numbers at the track. Kind of like all those Honda Civics with their 80 horsepower wings and 100 horsepower muffler tips. And of course, their 200 horsepower carbon fiber hoods.........

I like my Fit, but it is what it is. A throw away econobox. Only bonus is, it's made by Honda so it will be a long, long time before I throw it away......

Until then there is always that 300 horsepower hood scoop I can put on it.......

yeah I would be interested in a CF hatch if the weight loss was worth the price..that's the reason I didn't buy the OEM CF hood from JDP. I can't justify the price to weight savings.

It's a little bit harder than that I know all about the WW website but trying to find a 17x7 wheel in the right offset that has the time attack color is a lot harder. So far I have only found wheels from Kyowa and Ikon but I can't find weights or offsets I don't know why their respective sites don't put up the complete wheel specs.

Do you happen to know the difference in weight b/w the JDP CF hood and the OEM steel hood? The estimate I got was 1/2 to 3/4 of the weight of OEM.

If the OEM hood weighs 25 lbs, then a 12 lb weight savings would be nice. On the otherhand, if the savings is only 5 lbs then I agree it's not worth it. I wish someone with the hood could chime in.

I was pretty sure I saw somewhere on here that it was just a bit over 5lbs lighter...not worth it in my opinion unless it's vented. When I went to a vented hood on my Integra I picked up 7-8HP and ran 15-20 degrees cooler! From what I read here the Fit runs a bit hotter under the hood than most cars of similar displacement.

Not sure if anyone else was interested, but I've outfitted my past vehicles with Samco hoses and they just recently released both a coolant kit and a breather kit.

Part #'s:
TCS444B-(color option) Breather kit 4 pieces

TCS444C-(color option) Cooling kit 5 pieces

I just ordered both kits in red. No idea when I will get them, Samco's US site doesn't even have them listed yet.

yeah I like all the wheels for different reasons The RPF's are the lightest but also the most expensive. The TSW's are the 2nd lightest and cost about 25% less than the RPF's. The Tenzo's and Kyowa's are the look that I'm looking for but the Tenzo's are expensive for what you get and the Kyowa's are the heaviest of all of them. The more I think about it the Trackstars are looking like the best bet. Also right now Discount Tire Direct is offering an additional $100 off if I buy them online!!
