Advice on new wheels n tires

I am considering replacing my 2009 base fit steel wheels with 195/50-16 on 16x7 wheels. I was hoping to avoid any speedometer error. I am looking for better handling and not sacrificing much on ride quality. I don't have plans to upgrade suspension or anything right now.

What are the thoughts on this?

seriously how hard is it to google "tire size calculator" ?? =p

Tire size calculator

If memory serves me right though, the 195/50's will be just fine and your speedometer will be off by a negligible amount.

Thanks, I guess the real question is, "Am I tripping not going with 205's"?

Do y'all have any idea how much money is involved with adjusting the speedometer? I would rather the bigger tires for the ride quality, or is it thought that there would be any difference?

Seriously the sizes you're considering won't change it by that much....e.g., if your speedometer reads 60 you might be going +/- 2 mph, which IMO isn't that much. Now once you move to 17's or moreso 18's for rims, then it becomes slightly more significant. I wouldn't worry about getting it calibrated but rather just take mental note of it...

agreed once you find out what size you're going to run find out your actual mph difference and remember it...simple enough and a lot more cost effective
