Hey guys,

I just took my Fit out on a long roadtrip. Anyway, I noticed that when I am very lightly on the gas in 5th gear around 60 mph (~3k rpm), I get a rattling/thumping sound that seems to be coming from under the car. This also happens in other gears too, it just seemed more noticeable and reproducible in 5th gear. It's almost as if the exhaust piping is moving around enough to hit something.

I've searched and I've seen that the GD fits seem to have a loose header heatshield, but have you guys heard of any failing heatshielding on the GE Fits? Seeing how our header is integrated into the head I doubt there is a heatshield over it.

I guess I'll have to jack up the car and take a look, or take it to the dealer. It has the certified used warranty. I'm just curious if this occured to anyone else.
