The GD ones Do NOT fit on the GE. The GE hub assembly is welded to the axle. The GD hub assembly can be unbolted.

 

I recently lowered my car and just did an alignment today, referring back to this thread it looks like it is by design...My rear left toe is .21, .07 from specified range. My tech said that .07 degrees is not significant enough to cause wear issues. My two cents.

 

Having moved from my Honda dealer to an Audi/Volkswagen dealership, I can be a bit more frank about some of these issues. IIRC, all alignment reports on Gen2 Fits show toe in on the left rear, close or slightly toed out on the right rear. I like the idea of shifting the rear axle. The geometry would be interesting to look at by loosening the bolts or mounts fastening the rear twist beam and torque it back down after a bit of prying back on the left and tightening whilst prying, forward on the right etc.... The issue with Civics with rear tire wear are from a slight dimensional problem with the rear subframe/

As a follow up, I went to have another shop look at the alignment on my car.

Apparently, the issue with the rear left has worked itself out, or the initial reading (very similar to the OP's) was just an operator/mechanical error.

I suppose a second opinion helps.
