Problem with fuse

I connected the air pump to the outlet on the console and blew a fuse, I've looked at the manual and checked the fuse and it's good, I've pulled other fuses and they are all good, any ideas?

Which fuse did you check that you say is good? Did you check it for continuity or try replacing it?

thanks for replying virtual, I found the problem, stupid me, I had a splitter connected to the plug and it has an inline 5 Amp., that is the fuse that blew.

Had the same problem with my aux plug. Had a 12 volt converter plus xm radio on a splitter and it blew the fuse on the back of the splitter and melted it together. Did not blow the 20 amp fuse in the fuse box, but shorted out the back end of the plug. Pulled the plug today and took it apart and had to put more pressure on the white tab plug for the circuit to complete. The negative side I guess has some sort of fuse built into the plug.
