Couldn't find anything on this in search. I was just curious around what credit score do you need in order to qualify for the 0.9% financing deal that is going on right now? Also could I just call the Honda stealership and ask them if I qualify and have them check it?

Hmm. I though this ended dec 1st. Well.... Ne way. I got my fit with 0.9 for 60 months an my credit score was a little over 750. Don't really know if there's a cut off or not.

Applying for Credit Pre-Approval

No need to go with the dealer. Just ask AHFS yourself.

I got the 0.9% 60 month deal over the summer, but my wife and I have mid 700s on credit scores. IIRC, someone on here who seemed to be a person who worked for a dealership said that they wanted 650+ along with a previous history of on time payments for a car loan. Dunno how correct that is overall.

My sales rep said 705 or something like that, but since there's 3 different credit bureaus that means you have three (probably) different scores, and I don't know which one Honda uses.

i have around 730, i almost approved for the special financing, but i only had 4 years of credit history. the dealership told me i needed at least 5 years of credit history to approve.

the dealership wasnt lying because the guy who sold me the car is my friend.

yup, same here. we are what they call a "thin stack". good credit, but not enough history. I ended up getting 2.9% apr. no biggie.

I just bought a Honda Fit, which is my first new car. I got the 0.9% financing. My credit scores are all over 745, but I asked the dealer which reporting agency they used. He said they check Experian. I don't know if this is for Honda Finance all over or just in NJ.
