slow response on odometer/trip meter/mpg display

today i noticed when i pressed thru the various displays (odometer, trip meter, etc) the display changed a split second slower than normal. the background light also seemed slightly dimmer, but that may have been my imagination. but the display change-time was definitely slower.
i've never observed this before. it's the 3rd winter i've had the car.
it was somewhat chilly (20 F, nothing unusual). when the car warmed up the display resumed normal speed.

so...... has anyone else observed this? and does it mean anything worth noting?

allrightythen.
thank you.
have a nice day.
merry christmas.
buh bye.

Happens to me too. You should see it in low teens, hardly moves. it's cool though, it doesn't really bother me at all.

Ive only had my car 6 days but the last couple have been freezing. I noticed the instant mpg meter seemed to not want to move.

Yep I noticed this for the first time yesterday as well. Must be the cold temps.

Any liquid crystal display will be slow in low temps.
