New fit owners :)

Hello, all. My name is Mark, and my wife, Briana, and I JUST (an hour ago) bought a brand new, 2010 Orange Revolution Fit Sport 5MT. I LOVE IT! Her first Honda (my third- '84 CRX HF, '04 Civic Si), and second new car ever. We traded in her '09 Jeep Wrangler for it, to reduce payments and cut down on fuel bills. Should save us around ~$125-150 a month- woo hoo!

So, you'll all be hearing from me a fair bit now. I'm a mechanic by training, from Brooklyn, NY, originally. Briana won't be posting, but she will be driving the GE. She's from Colorado. We've been married 6 months, and this is our first new car as a married couple (aww! )

Anyway, we're gonna be doing a few inexpensive mods to liven up the Fit. Any ideas would be appreciated. K&N air filter is a must, and we'll probably do some suspension upgrades- any recommendations?

Cheers, and catch you soon! Mark W.

On the other end of the "awkward" spectrum... if your wife doesn't plan on being on this forum... maybe its easier just to not mention her. There really isn't much point... unless you feel the need to announce a "trophy" of some sort. In which case, I say, say it by decking the CAR out... after all, it is a car forum.

Welcome to the forum and congrads on the new Fit. Just watch out because modifying a Fit is like eating potato chips - no one can do just one!

Sounds to me like the OP was just being thorough in his initial description of his car ownership situation. Welcome! And congrats on both the new car and new marriage.

^ What he said And she is also my trophy, so everybody wins

No worries on the mod bug- I've only ever owned one car out of 15+ that stayed stock, and that was a Pontiac I bought just to drive from AZ to NY Pics should be up tonight- Mark W.

Ok- a little late, but pics!
Also, ordered up a Mugen shifter and shift knob, H-Fit shifter bushings, and a Progress rear sway bar. We're off and running!

Love the Orange. I wanted that, but settled on the Blue that was still wrapped in plastic and ready to go. I am happy with it though. Enjoy yours.

That's funny- we wanted the blue, but the orange was the only thing available It's definitely grown on us, though- Mark W.

Omg so that's what a stock fit looks like, I had no idea.

This thread reads like a facebook page.

Welcome, I look forward to your contributions.

Thank'um. I'll try to throw in some quality contributions. I know it's nothing exciting yet, but I always manage to pull out something interesting Mark W.

It is hard to believe I will have had my Fit 5 years this coming July and that so many people that once posted here are already driving something else already. The Fits are practical cars until someone goes overboard with the boy racer look and grinds off their oil pan and crinkles their fenders... That reminds me, I have to reattach my front bumper to the fender on the right side again and I only have a mild drop and not that much offset wheels... I need to check out the resonator on the after market exhaust system after it was bashed on some speed bumps also... One of these days I hope I grow out of this nonsensical lunacy and act my age.

For me, I hope that day is after I'm six feet under.

^ Indeed. I'm told I need to grow up at least once a month. I will when I become worm food Mark W.
