I had a local installer put some Yakima landing pad #7's on my 2010 Fit Sport today. The rack itself looks great, but there are two dents just inboard of the front towers. When we took the front towers and landing pads off, the dents do not go away. They are pretty shallow, but very noticeable (currently too dark for a pic).

Has anyone else had this problem? The pads look to be almost exactly in the same place shown in this thread

The pads are as close to the rain gutter as possible. Anyway, the shop is going to take care of me, but I'm not sure if we can just have the dents removed and leave the pads where they are, try tracks instead (which could use the current holes, but could also create new dents), or just back out of the whole thing and have a body shop put it back to new - and then still not have any racks.

Any ideas?
