I just saw the GE honda fit commercial it was on last night during the steelers vs ravens football game.

It's the first time I've seen a fit ad in a while. At least a year and a half.

 

I love that one...

 

I like The Fit so much that I'm disappointed in Honda's advertising approach. I remember when I went to look at them at the dealership, every other Honda Model had a real, adult, glossy brochure..

The Fit, had a fold out poster/pamplet in the advertising comic book vein.
I was disappointed.

I guess there is nothing wrong with the advertising, but it seems very childish and always so unreal. Plus the robotic tagline? The Fit is Go!...uh..I'm lukewarm on that.

Also nerve wracking to me is Honda's lack of advertising for the Fit. I've seen numerous Honda commercials where they will mention every model Honda offers minus The Fit...

I've had people ask me in parking lots and be suprised The Fit was a Honda. That's not a good sign that Honda is marketing the automobile well. Even I will admit that I learned about The Fit more from reading automobile magazines and doing research than I did from discovering it from Honda's almost non-existent advertising.

I guess as an owner that does really think the Fit is a REAL good automobile, I'd like to see Honda support the vehicle better....as a REAL vehicle and not so much as a "Cartoon" superhero.
