Fit Suspension

Hey Fit Freak. So i finally decided that i want to start fixing up my 09 Fit. The thing is, im pretty much a noob at this, and GE8 parts are pretty hard to find. I wanted to to my suspension first, but i do not know what brand to get. i was thinking of getting some springs and struts. i wanted coilovers, but they are a bit pricey, and i do just want to lower my fit to make it look cleaner. My Fit will carry my 5 month year old daughter, so i do not want to sacrifice to much ride comfort or the wife will bitch :P hahah. so what are you recommendations of what brands and where to get them?

I've been wondering the same since I got 57k on my stock 09 suspension and want to start preparing to replace. I like the height but want better response when driving over bad roads ( stocks seem to get softer on bad blocks).

Besides coilovers are there any other options. I'm about to call perp boys and autozone

you could look in the suspension section of the forums, ya know.

i, myself, just bought some Swift Springs (due to some encouragement from the "bad influeance" group).

as for struts... I haven't the foggiest.

I read a lowered fit thread. I PM'd FitDEEZ because he had installed Drop Zone springs. He said they were a decent ride. (close to stock) I got some for Christmas. I just need time so I can install them!

Here is a link to his thread. https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/2nd-...z-ssm-ge8.html

( 12-22-2009, 05:54 PM &nbsp "I'm on dropzone springs for the fit like 80 bucks shipped.. and there actually better than I expected .. ride comfort is same as stock but a little stiffer like most of the other springs out there.. its about 2 inches in the front and 1 1/2 in the back.. getting coilovers soon so the springs are temps. But I like how they ride"

I am planning on Swifts because of all the reviews and I didn't want it too low. Goobers, where'd you get yours and how much?

I honestly am just ticked that there are no Konis or Bilsteins released for the car yet. I could care less about springs, I just want good quality dampers when the time comes to replace the worn-out stockers (probably around 100k, which will be a year from now the way I've been driving).
