search the threads...topic has been beaten to death, resuscitated, and beaten again for good measure....while there are plenty of coilover options they will all run you 1000-1400 ...springs are popular but will wear down your stock faster and might strain other components down the road.

Progress rear way bars are also very popular.

welcome to the boards, plenty of info here

Slammed AND a smooth ride? Doesn't exist, especially for the Fit. Coilovers are your only chance at getting a passable ride when slammed, and even then, it won't be great. The shorter a spring and shock/strut package gets, the stiffer it needs to be to compensate for the reduced travel. That usually ruins your chances of a smooth ride. Your best bet is to keep it up an inch or three, and keep the spring rate down more- Mark W.

Heard a lot of good things about Buddy Clun N+ and D2. I'm going with the D2's personally.

I would recommend finding cars that have these different setups and going for a ride. I had Ksports on my 88 civic wagon, and it was like "zero" movement of the suspension...rock hard, spine crushing agony. Of course, it was a daily, so it was no good for me.

Slam to the earth: get a high spring rate with dampers that can handle it - D2, Buddyclub

Smooth Ride: can't ride as low, but closer to stock - Tein basic, Tein Superstreet, Tanabe S-02

Good luck, and welcome to the forum!

A Fit with a smooth ride? You got to be kidding.

I like driving mine because I have the wheel to hang onto. My wife who has bad back and hip replacements hates it.

I am on Swifts for over a year now and can't remember what the original ride was like. It was not great I believe.

Sure glad we have the less costly Caravan for long trips.

The Fit is my fun car. I have absolutely no reason to justify owning it other than I am old and can afford a second car. Oh and I enjoy the looks I get from the other grocery getters.

Ok. Before you drop $1K+ on coilovers, I'm REALLY going to reccommend doing a LOT of research on suspension. You seem to want the dream suspension in a car that has compromises due to its small size and stature from the factory- lowering it and getting a smaller suspension package won't improve things.
Anyway, short answer- it means you have to re-use the OEM bushing at the tops of the strut/shock mounts. SOME coilovers include pillowball uppers that usually offer some form of adjustability for camber and/or caster- Mark W.

Hey, I was looking for a good set of springs or even coils, but at a good cost. I was thinkin bout lowerung my car maybe like 1.5" to like 1.8", but dont really want a bouncy ride. Any suggestions on what type to get? I heard TEIN's were good, but i was also thinking bout going for the skunk2 coils or something. Any suggestions?
