If Fit hybrid is not available in North America, what is the chance that we will get the EV?

Actually, I would think the EV would come before the Hybrid. The Hybrid would compete against the Insight in the US while the EV would compete against the Leaf. I can think of a few people on here who would benefit from the Fit EV instead of potentially going to a prius or other EV system. Currently Honda doesn't have a "City Car" as the IMA system in the hybrids doesn't do as well in the city as a vehicle such as the Prius. An EV would fill a Niche for which Honda currently has no US offerings. (the Fit Hybrid would be redundant - and potentially take over - the insight hybrid market)

Makes sense. I totally agree that Honda would not want their FIT hybrid to cannibalize their Insight and instead do a direct launch of FIT EV to compete with LEAF or perhaps VOLT (more difficult as this is a bigger class) or which ever equivalent electric vehicles from the competition is in the way

The Fit EV has already received glowing first impressions from major automotive publications for its performance as well as its greenness. 170 ish ftlbs of torque available at 0-thru the rev range.
