Perhaps pulling trigger on Fit tonight or tomorrow...which color?
rhyneba is correct...while waiting for my inspection sticker today I read some lit at the dealer about the paint on Hondas....they make a point to say that all metallic and "pearlescent" or something like that get an clearcoating as well so I guess red and white don't...
Still love the color though, I'm glad I went with the MR

Covered in ice this morning

And covered in snow yesterday...welcome to New Hampshire lol

And a closeup of the gee whiz graphic lol

Only have had it for a couple days and loving it!
I owned an 09 Fit that was Black and loved it when it was clean. I never got around to washing it as much as I should have, and had buyers remorse every time I saw a red or blue one.
So, I traded in my 09 base for a '10 Sport and got it in Milano Red. I'm glad I did it, and I think red looks sexier!

I'm just buying one now, and the only color the dealer had in stock is the light blue, not a manly color IMO. They did a locate on a silver sport manual 2010 (0.9% financing for the 10), and found one 160 miles away. So I'll get a new car with 160 miles on it, but the warranty starts when I accept it, and I still got a hellof a deal on it. Picking it up tomorrow!
I'm sorry but you're nuts. The fit is beautiful in red.
I had a bright red BMW for many years and never once got pulled over. I have gotten pulled over by the CHP driving the dullest color cars out there, beige VW and silver-blue Chevy. Also once pulled over riding a white BMW motorcycle.
The original BMW red paint was clearcoat, and eventually it peeled. I like the idea that the solid Honda colors are not clearcoat. Standard paint can be polished by conventional methods without fear. Claybar is about the only thing that is safe for clearcoat.

My vote is red. After having my CL type S in black (Nighthawk Black Pearl) and what a pain it was to keep it clean I will never own a black car again... (unless its a garage queen) For a DD Fit I would choose Red.
Purely subjective, personal experience, because I have read the statistics and claims that Red vehicles do NOT get pulled over more...
But my experience? Yes, they do.
I owned a Black Pick-up...long story short after 2 years I ended up with the exact same model pick-up, almost identical except for it was Red.
I don't believe my driving style had changed in 2 years. I got pulled over SO much more. I swore I would never own a red vehicle again.
For the record. My Black Honda Fit seems to be ignored by police. Maybe by now I am slowing down...or it's the small hatchback but Law Enforcement seems blinded by it's dimunutive stature....like they are too embarrased to chase a Fit down....
Anyway I concede my opinion is based purely on my own experience, but I never got pulled over more than when I owned a bright red Pick-up.

B/C coats are sooo much nicer than single stage ever was, except Imron but that stuff killed ya if inhaled. Makes me think that it was a good thing Bill Clinton wasn't painting cars back in the day, LOL
Nah theses 2 never fired up a Fatty................
& who is this??

You had to go and ruin my day by posting pics of The Joker, a Carpet-bagging Witch, and Chairman MaoBama! Frightening, and depressing. Why, it's the Scoundrels and Tyrants gallery!
Three Blind Roden... uh, I mean Mice!

I seriously considered MR when I was deciding my color. I only settled on Blue Sensation because I've owned red rides before and wanted something different for the Fit. Now, the more Milano Red Fits I see that have been waxed multiple times, the more I wish I would have went with MR. I'm happy with my BSP, for sure, but I do like the MR, a lot.
Once bad weather is over, slap multiple coats of wax on with a micro-fiber cloth or dual action buffer and proper pad... you'll never even consider the lack of a clearcoat finish. I've owned several red cars, and have found the more you wax them with quality wax, the deeper and richer the finish gets. I waxed my last red ride so many times it almost looked as if you could reach into the finish.
As long as it's waxed I've found red shows dirt less than other colors. It oxidizes faster than other colors, but that's not even an issue with multiple coats of wax. At least that's my experience with red.
Anyway, congrats on the purchase. Enjoy the Fit... they're fun, and enjoy the color, bro!
Welcome to "The Club!"
Black is pretty bad-ass, just watch this video of a black Fit Sport, and I dare you to tell me that it doesn't send a chill up your spine or cause you to wet your pants:PS - That poor domestic never stood a chance.
Oh The Humanity!
Well I own Black.
I Love Black.
I'd recommend Black.
But I simultaneously understand why Black seldom wins any head to head comparison or challenge.
Black requires a Monk like dedication if looking good "all the time" is your goal. Most people just don't want that level of commitment.
Let's give the Trophy to Red...and let me drive off into the night...you won't see me...it's dark and so is my car...
