That's precisely why I never consider owning a black car again! You are almost invisible on the road and people may slam right in you claiming they never saw you!

My prelude was black/black. NEVER AGAIN... it was just too damn hot in that car and it had a 2.0L engine with a decent A/C & Small cabin to cool. The fit's A/C is anemic at best and even with a White FIT it gets mighty toasty inside. Our Green ridgeline gets quite hot too but it has a Beefy AC which takes care of it pretty quickly.

Lighter colors on small cars for me.

Yeah, but I figure probably more than 1/2 the time I'm driving in degrees of daylight..inwhich I think Black is actually very visible.

Your arguement against "black" is exactly why in The Pacific Northwest, I really never consider Metalic Silver. Around here? Days are often Silver cast. I think that color blends into the enviroment too easily....Clouds, rain and all...

I love black...but it's hard to win an arguement FOR it...outside of I think it absolutely looks the best...when it's at its best...

I did see a black Fit Sport today on base all decked out with tinted windows and the window visors. was raining today but looked sharp as hell!

So far very happy with the MR! Looks the bomb all cleaned up!

Black is not a color...it's a part-time job.

I'm looking to get a black sport in the next couple of days. Too many red and blue ones around plus I want to match my other vehicle.

I NEVER see any red ones in this neck of the woods...Blackberry Pearl and the Alabaster Silver seem to dominate in these parts!

So if my local dealer comes back with the price I can get on the white Fit, should I go wth red or black? I don't see too many red Fits around and would be my first red car...I've had black before and know what a pita it is to keep clean swirl marks etc...but I always have firmly believed can't go wrong with a black car

So any regrets from red or black Fit owners?
I own a black 2010 Fit Sport M/T and to me that was the only way to go. I've seen few red ones on the road and didn't really like it in that color. Black color makes my FIT look like a little badass!!!

Red is cute but paint has poor quality

My red fit looks awesome, but the paint on the hood is having serious issues that the factory won't claim as a defect. Love my fit, but the paint job sucks. They've told me that red paint breaks down faster, so even if I got it repainted, it would never match quite right.

What kind of issues?

My black hood has gotten duller compared to the rest of the car, probably from constant exposure to the never-ending sun in Southern California. Since, whenever I polish my car I do a 2nd polishing for the hood and roof, and now it's getting better.
