2011 Fit Service/Parts Manual
2011 Fit Service/Parts Manual
Does anyone know where I can get my hands on a service manual for my 2011 base Fit Manual Transmission?
I have a few mods I would like to do and don't want to screw anything up by not paying attention to the way it has been put together. For example; I tried to take out the headlight housing so that I could do an LED mod to the lights and was not able to free the housing. I removed the two bolts I could see from above but it seemed like there must have been another securing it from the bottom. It would be great if I could refer to a manual and see how certain parts are mounted.
Ideas anyone?

I don't know about the manual, but there are TWO more bolts for a total of four holding the headlight in.
The two hidden bolts are reachable if you are very dexterous with you hands.
One bolt is just below the front inner corner of the headlight, you have to reach down through the upper grille area. The other is below the outer corner, you'll have to open up the liner in the wheel well.
Really though, it might be easier to take the whole bumper off (and even then it's a little tricky if you aren't using a 1" wide spatula).

Right on Goob's. You know, right? Didn't you spend untold hours on something once?
There's where the manual comes in handy. Shows you how to do it, as opposed to just doing it, not that there's anything wrong with that, but I'm thinking... well you know.

I think there was something involving mosquitoes.
lol
You really need that spatula to take off the bumper (manual or no manual)... Otherwise, you need super dexterous AND really small hands to squeeze in the tiny area to access that one bolt (holds the bracket that holds both the headlight and bumper to the frame)!!!
