L15A Head with R20 Block

L15A Head with R20 Block

may i know can the above combination fit together>>??

the physical size of the l15a7 head is to small for the r series block. the head bolts dont line up. at least that is the way the l15 head sits on the r18 block.

u mean it can fit on a R18 block instead of R20??

im not sure about the r20 but it will not work on the r18 block.

the l15a7 head doesn't even match up with the original l15 block due to a revised coolant jacket...

This isn't like the olden days when you would swap out your ancient 95 'stang 4.6 heads for some 03 PI Heads or swap an 'exploder' block.

your only bet is to sleeve the l15a and bore it out to increase displacement. i have been looking into running a d-series crank in the l15a but i dont know if it will work or not yet.
