Last night during those bad storms rolling through the states, a tornado formed and rolled right through my neighborhood. Luckily there were no fatalities, however multiple roofs were torn right off and the trees pulled from the ground entered several neighbors' houses and landed on their cars.

My Fit was hiding in the garage but was still plastered by debris (most likely from my roof being partly forced open), fortunately there wasn't any damage. The power was out through the city and some houses were destroyed so I used the Fit as a taxi to help people make sure their relatives were all right. Just thought I'd share the story, if anyone else has a car survival or horror story feel free to share!

3rd. thats crazy! i've always wanted to see a tornado in person.....i just think they are awesome forces of nature. but i often forget the distruction that comes with them when i think about seeing one. makes me think twice....

 

I apologize for this thread being off topic, with no real useful info.. but thought I'd share because this will be part of my Fit's story.

Thanks I appreciate it. It was really crazy, the moment it came through (winds around 100mph by this time) I just felt the air pressure change almost felt like air got sucked out of the house, with the noises it made I thought the Fit was gona get a makeover!

Heres a day after during cleanup. It touched behind my house and then jumped a block and made a convertible house. Glad the community pulled together, about 160 houses damaged 1-2 million worth.



This is all the debris that settled on the Fit, garage was tightly sealed. Just washed her a day before that.

lol thank you, and even better- just about everyone I helped asked about the car and liked it, but on the downside some older couple thought it was a Prius
