Front seat removal question

Well, I'm not actually removing my front seat, but I'm performing the "seat raising mod" someone on the forum posted not long ago.

How do I access the seat bolts? (They obviously have plastic covers over them)

It's no big deal, really... but I don't want to pry them off improperly and risk breaking them. Do I pry upward, over from the right, from the left, yadda, yadda, yadda... blah, blah, blah... I actually tried and they weren't budging, so I assumed I'm doing it wrong.

A lot of things to do to my GE... don't want to have to order new seat bolt covers along with everything else that's costing me.

Thanks, Freaks!

The manual for the GD models show that you have to spread the covers from the front at the bottom and pull forward... I have been needing to do the same thing but am also reluctant... I am thinking of using my heat gun to soften the plastic a little but then I become anxious about melting the carpet. I think I might just have a double shot of bourbon and go out and jump right into it after I finish my coffee with Irish Cream.

I wouldn't imagine GE seat bolt cover design would be all that radically different from that of the GD, but you never know.

Oh h3ll, I would imagine this "expensive" GE carpeting would be able to handle a little abuse by a heat gun without self-destructing, eh? If you decide to get bold, PLEASE let us know how that "expensive carpet abuse" works out for ya'!

Lol! Coyote, please don't take this the wrong way -- I've been a happily married man for awhile now, and besides, I'm not that way -- but I love ya', man! You have to be one of the most entertaining and colorful peeps on any forum I've ever visited... you have a way with words, and you certainly have your own unique way of doing things.

Not exactly the answer I was looking for, Coyote! But I enjoyed it nevertheless, as usual!
