Cruise control

Cruise control
My dealer is taking his time to put the cruise control I already paid. Over two weeks now... so I was wondering if it is possible to buy it elsewhere, how much can it cost and how much to install it. Would it void warranty? Thx

Hey Fitter,
This makes no sense. It only takes one to two hours to install cruise control. Lots of people install it themselves....and no...it will certainly not void your warranty.
Certainly do not put up with this....find another dealer.

Is the cruise control on order?
-or-
Has the car been sitting in the shop for 2-weeks
while they dick around with the install?

I bought the car on Monday two weeks ago and they told me they would install the cruise control the day after, or Wednesday... I called them several time, and last Monday I was upset and they told me "We will call you in a day or two"... Today, 8 days later, I called them I was very angry. They told me someone would call me back in some minutes but they didn't.
Tomorrow I'll be sending a letter claiming not only that they install it, but also that they pay me money for the time I wasn't able to enjoy it.
Clearly bad customer service. They were very kind until I bought the car, but then...
(That's why I was looking for aftermarket cruise... if it is less expensive, I could simply ask to get my money back and do it elsewhere)

Lesson learned.
NEVER, NEVER, NEVER pay the dealer/sign the papers until the car is exactly the way you want it.
If there is something that needs to be repaired/installed, tell them that when the job is complete you will finish the transaction. You will be amazed how quickly they work. Sign the papers with a promise of future repairs and you will find yourself in the situation you are in now. Once they have their money they couldn't care less about your problems.
