Cruise Control Issues

Hey Guys, I'm having some minor issues with my cruise control on my 2007 Fit. When diving on the highway sometimes cruise control will not set a speed. The cruise control light is on showing that it is working, but when I go to hit set, the cruise control does not kick in. I have noticed this issue since maybe 6 months ago. Most of the time cruise control works, but once and a while when you do go and try to use it, it doesnt work.

It’s amazing not many people are having issues with cruise control

Hey, researching cruise control issues and can’t fond much help on the forum. Seems not many people are having the issue.
my problem started out with the failed cruise control button not staying engaged. I fixed it temporarily with a cut off piece of a plastic straw. That worked for a while. Symptoms were that you would mash the button, the cruise is on light would light up but when you released the button it would go off. So now it won’t set the light when you mash the set or accel buttons. The cruise is on light is lit. I replaced the whole switch assembly this weekend and still have no ability to set the cruise although the button now works.
Confirmed that my brake lights are working but I’m going to replace the switch anyways. I’ll let yall know how it works out.
