I recommend the Enkei RPF1 and PF01. Lightweight, great sizing, timeless designs.
RPF1's are so sexy. But if he wants tires with them isnt it cutting it pretty close to $1500?
Cause RPF1s around me go for $250 a wheel, plus then you need tires. Dont get me wrong im no expert when it comes to wheels and tires but it might be pushing it when tires are pretty expensive too

He said he has $1500 to spend, I spent that lol.

And he doesn't have to get awesome tyres.

I have 17x7.5 with 205/45/17. My 17's with tires are lighter than stock 16's with tires (34.2lb vs 37.6lb), but there is more contact patch like you mentioned. Should I be expecting much more mpg with stock wheels?
honda designs EVERY part of these cars including the specific tire size (as lame as it may be) for a reason. before i put the 17's on i had driven to cali and back twice and could achieve 42mpg with the a/c on 2 - i atribute this to the fact that i have a lowered car and the mugen ft lip, i keep my tire pressure at 35, i drive the speed limit +/- 1mph (i don't speed!!!) i have a MT and use cruise all the time - i can get atleast 420 miles on a tank without worring (on the road) but around town i was getting about 350 a tank (10 gal) using a/c on 3 or 4 all the time, now i have driven to and from cali once and averaged 35 and in town im at about 28/29mpg - i love high MPG's and will be selling my wheels in the very near future for a set of lightweight 16" and then powdercoating them ASAP
