anyone have any aftermarket gauges set up in their car, mainly looking to see above the center vents, etc.

save the rice comments, just want to see peoples setups and such.

Maybe if they have Turbo/SC, but I can't imagine many...

its an electiric 15$ unit from kragen/orelys

 

i plan on routing the wiring thru the vent so its no all ugly but its f*cking nice to have water temp in this car

 

how hard is it to wire that gauge? In my previous two cars I had some overheating problems and miss not having that gauge to see how my cooling system is working....

 

How did you wire up your water temp gauge?

 

ok so the gauge has 3 plugs on the back not including the lights, 1 is a power, 1 is the gauges ground, 1 is power to temp sensor, i noticed that the #7 fuse inside the cabin turns on only when the keys are on. with that i plugged the gauges power there, grounded it to some metal inside the cab. the last wire runs to the temp sensor, i used a coat hanger tapped to the wire, and poked it thru a rubber gromet in the firewall. the sensor unit needs to be grounded so i grounded that to the negitive on the battery. for the gauge light, (i took the easy route and since i found a power when the keys are on) so i plugged the light to the + and negitive i already had wired. look!
